Christchurch Lavender is a boutique lavender farm in Yaldhurst on the outskirts of Christchurch, five minutes from Christchurch International Airport and twenty minutes from the city centre. Peter O'Carroll owns and runs the farm which he designed and began establishing back in 2013 as a hobby for his own pleasure and enjoyment. The five acre property consists of colourful flower and lavender gardens, which are now open to the public during the flowering season, from early December through to the end of January. It is now visited and enjoyed by many locals and tourists from many parts of the world.
There's a small farm shop selling a range of lavender products ranging from oil, soaps, creams to dried flowers. With over thirty five years of experience in horticulture, Peter has used his knowledge in the field to successfully propagate and grow a wide variety of lavender plants which are for sale from his on site nursery.
